On payment of the franchise fee, the franchisee will receive everything that is required to start business. This includes decor, product and administration training, total admin set-up, promotional wear and accessories, an initial launch and a shopping centre launch and all the necessary tools to do the job. Vehicle purchase finance is arranged by the franchisee.

A sales office is open during normal office hours and an anytime - anyday support helpline is available to assist franchisees in the field or at home base.

It is recognised that Curtain and Blind Studio is also extremely appropriate for neighbouring states such as Namibia and Botswana, and even as far a field as Kenya and the United Arab Emirates.
Each will be considered on application.

It includes the purchase of a fully fitted out and branded VW Caddy which can be partly or wholly financed according to the franchisee's preference. This vehicle costs approximately R210 000 (vat recoverable) and replaces the need for any locked in property leases and the associated contracts, sureties, deposits, turnover clauses, etc..

Franchisees can be expect a monthly turnover of R80 000 to R150 000 or upwards. At these levels, net earnings would be in excess of 20% depending on turnover, selling prices and vehicle financing arrangements.

Franchise royalty fees are R1 000 per month, subject to annual review.

Minimum working capital, no manufacturing and no stockholding is required.

Though the franchise is relatively new, it has been professionally constructed and extensively trialled in South Africa by suppliers who have been in the window treatment business for many years. The franchise network is growing, but several prime territories are still available.
