THE PRODUCTS
Bulk SMS is a service or solution where one can capture a SMS and send it to many people simultaneously. Generally the solutions are either a software package linked to a piece of hardware or are Internet based. Other paper based solutions also exist.
The software development is ongoing with new facilities being developed and enhancements being requested on a regular basis.
All contracts are pre-paid. The clients sign a debit order instruction and, once the money has been paid, Smart SMS credits the client with the number of SMS’s bought. SMS’s are sold in bundles of 100.
Internet Based Bulk SMS Solution – Customers can sign onto www.smssmart.co.za , maintain their client database, group clients and send one SMS to many. The average database size is over 700, i.e. most Customers send 700 or more SMS’s per month.
Fax2SMS – Customers fax their client database to our head office. We maintain the database, including groups, on their behalf. When they need an SMS sent, they SMS/Fax/Email us with the details and HO does the rest. Currently only about 5% of the client base use this option or Email2SMS.
Email2SMS – Similar to Fax2SMS, except that the database changes and SMS messages are sent in Excel format. This makes it a lot quicker and easier as we don’t need to do any data capture first.
SMS2SMS – We have an option where we will maintain the customers client database. Their details are linked to a keyword and all our customer needs to do is send an SMS prefixed by the keyword to our server. The sentry program sends the SMS to every person linked to the Keyword.
Premium Rated Numbers – Run competitions or provide information via SMS. A request is sent to a determined number. The cost of the SMS depends on what has been setup. The networks keep some of the cost and the rest is passed onto our customer. On receipt of the SMS, we interrogate a database and return a message, or store the details for a competition, etc.
Smart Appointment Book – Customers download and install the software onto their PCs. They can setup their appointment book according to their own specific needs. They have to be online while using the diary. Every appointment can be uploaded to Smart SMS and a reminder sent to their client at a selected time before the appointment.
FUTURE PRODUCTS
Business Directory linked to SMS request – Register your business on our database. A prospective client is looking for the service or product you’ve listed (via SMS) and we’ll send him your details. Income from the SMS AND from the business registration.
''Free'' SMS – Allow subscribers to send SMS’s to their friends Free-of-charge. Each SMS carries an Advert, which we sell to Big corporations.
Demographic SMS Database – We collect information on groups of people and sell the demographic information to corporation for advertising.
CRM – Build our customer base to hold more information on the customer’s customer and give him many more CRM tools.
